Born before or after 1 April 2027: what changes
LifeSG says babies born before 1 April 2027 join the Baby Bonus Scheme and move to the SG Child Support Package automatically in April 2027. It says babies born on or after 1 April 2027 get the new package from birth.

What your child gets, by birth date and birth order
This is what LifeSG and MSF say for a Singapore citizen child. LifeSG says the Baby Bonus needs the parents to be lawfully married.

LifeSG says every citizen child also gets S$2,000 a year in Child Credits from age 1, whenever they were born.
Baby Bonus cash stops after 31 March 2027, then a top-up comes by 30 April 2027
LifeSG says children born from 14 February 2023 to 31 March 2027 keep getting Baby Bonus Cash Gift payouts until 31 March 2027. They then get a top-up by 30 April 2027 so their total cash reaches S$10,000, if they have received less. Source: LifeSG (MSF)
Made for Families says a first or second child gets S$1,500 at 6 months and again at 12 months. LifeSG says only payouts due up to 31 March 2027 are paid; after that the Baby Gift top-up and Child Credits take over. Source: MSF (Made for Families)
CDA matching caps become S$5,000 on 1 October 2027
LifeSG says children born from 1 January 2015 to 31 March 2027 keep their existing co-matching cap until 30 September 2027. All caps become S$5,000 from 1 October 2027, which is higher for a first child (S$4,000 now) and lower for later children. Source: LifeSG (MSF)
Born before 1 April 2027: the CDA First Step Grant stays the same
Made for Families says a first or second child gets a S$5,000 First Step Grant in the Child Development Account. LifeSG says children born before 1 April 2027 keep this existing amount. Source: MSF (Made for Families)

Large Family LifeSG Credits stop, with no payments in 2027
MSF says Large Family LifeSG Credits, S$1,000 a year for a third or later child aged 1 to 6, will stop. It says there will be no payments in 2027.
Before 1 April 2027: link your child's PayNow ID to a bank account
LifeSG says package payouts go to the bank account linked to the child's PayNow ID (NRIC or birth certificate number). It asks parents to set this up before 1 April 2027, and not to link it to the Child Development Account. Source: LifeSG (MSF)
